It's about time

Mom has been preoccupied with the cats. Orange cat is doing good. A guy called from work today and is possibly interested. Enough about the cats....

I had a great weekend! I went to Rural King with mom on sat and then on sun helped her rake leaves. I supervised of course. She did all of the labor. I did all of the planning. Rural King was great because there were other dogs I was able to smell and greet. Better yet tho is I was able to charm people into petting me.

Mom bought me some new type of treats and above is a pic of me eating them outside in the leaves. Don't tell mom but I go through the leaves looking for cat poop.

Orange Cat

Here is a picture of the orange cat I've found. I took him to my vet yesterday. He's in good health and fixed. I also think he is de clawed (I forgot to ask the vet).

I have put an ad in the local newspaper for tomorrow and Friday, posted on my work bulletin board, and going to post signs this afternoon.

I am trying to find his owners. I have NO idea what I am going to do if now one claims him.

I am starting to feel as though I run an animal shelter!

The kitten is doing great. He is so darn cute and so kitten like now. He and Bones chase each other. Lilly is not happy about all of this. Brutus could care less as long as he gets to eat, poop, and sleep.

Where do we start?

First off we want to thank the lovely Clover for this award!

This lovely award is created by Crystal @ Memoirs of a Mommy in honor of Noah and the donor of his sweet little heart who ENCOURAGES us to SHARE THE LOVE! The rules for this award are to pass it along to some people whose blogs you love. They make you laugh, smile, leave encouraging comments on your blog. You would like to share some love with them because they have uplifted, inspired, encouraged or prayed for you. Please include this paragraph with the link to Memoirs of a Mommy so that everyone knows where this award originated from.

She gave us this award a while ago and we are very thankful.

We would like to give this award to Pearl, and Coco and Louise.

In other news, mom has still been so busy. But we did get the pet stairs. I like them and so do the kittehs.

Mom was asked to be a foster mom for a kitten. His name is Akita He is 5 months old. He has an eye infection and a cold so he needs medication so they asked mom to take care of him. Here is a picture. Mom is calling him either Charlie or Linus. The rescue group said he can have a new name. Mom says he is cute. He is furry and small. He was afraid of me at first but now he isn't because I haven't hurt him or anything. Lilly is afraid of him. A 5 month old kitten, ha ha.

Here he is trying eat my food!

We also have a stray in the garage. Mom calls him George. He is not fixed but very sweet. He is totally afraid of me. Mom lets him out during the day.

Mom says there is a pussy cat joke in there somewhere, whatever that means.

Happy Monday everyone!

Writing and reading

Brutus here. Mom is a bit overwhelmed with writing a book chapter, two articles, one student research paper, etc.

Clover has given us an award and mom doesn't want to post about it yet until she can give it some good comments.

Mom just wanted to say Hi and that she is reading and feels like a slacker for not posting more.

She is super excited though because Netflix FINALLY is sending the first Torchwood Season 2 disk! She loves Captain Jack Harkness. Yes yes he's gay, who cares he's hot. Mom loves his character. She actually watches a lot of BBC stuff including Doctor Who, Wire in the Blood. Mom says enjoy the eye candy, whatever that means.

19th Amendement

Brutus here. Mom voted! We live in a smaller community and during the primaries mom took about 10 mins to vote counting the time to drive to the place. So she took me with her this time. She left me in the car....forever! Mom said there was a long line or wait (an hour) but she was happy to wait considering the sacrifices that women had endured to secure the right to vote. She explained that women didn't always have the right to vote. Amazing.

So here I am waiting in the car! Can you believe she didn't take me with her! She even said a lady in line had a baby kangaroo in her purse. I could have helped her vote. Lord knows she needs the help.

Happy Election Day! Pailin 2012! Just kidding.

Contest and missed Indy Pug meetup

Although we didn't win, we did enter Punchbugpugs Bugs Bees and Others costume contest. We got this cool badge! YAY. I was a redneck with super sexy mullet.

We were suppose to go to the pug meetup today in Indy but I didn't feel good. Also the grandparents are in town. I again ran around too much with Oscar. In addition I was awake most of the day on Friday too. We are bummed we didn't get to go but plan on going to the December meeting. Dixie, Sophie, and Harley posted some very cool details and pics and it looked like a good time.
